Arrest warrant issued in deadly explosion

A Tulsa man affiliated with SoloS Extract Co., where the blast occurred, has been charged with two counts of murder.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man who is wanted on murder charges in connection with an explosion that left two men dead in Sand Springs early Thursday.

Ryan Bassham, who the district attorney says is affiliated with the business where the explosion occurred – SoloS Extract Co., 411 S. Lincoln Ave. – was charged Friday in Tulsa County District Court with two counts of first-degree murder.

Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler said in a text message to the Sand Springs Line early Saturday that it appears Bassham “may be attempting to avoid arrest.”

Court records say Bassham, 35, lives in Tulsa.

“We are encouraging the public, if they have knowledge as to his whereabouts, to contact local law enforcement,” Kunzweiler said.

SoloS Extract Co., one of three marijuana-extraction businesses located in the Morrow-Gill Business Park, was operating illegally at the time of the explosion there early Thursday, Fire Marshal Mike Nobles said. Sharon Bishop-Baldwin/Sand Springs Line
